‘Ngā Taonga Tuku Iho’

"‘Treasures passed down from our ancestors’, these kakahu represent the treasure that is mahi whatu, and the treasure that are our tamariki. The weaver hopes that these kakahu will foster a sense of belonging for the māori whanau at Fernridge, and also a sense of pride in Te Āo Māori for all of the Fernridge community."
"Being able to present these 2 finished kakahu to Fernridge School at Matariki with my family beside me was an amazing experience. Heart is full and I'm still processing."
